Buh-Bye!: Teacher Who Kicked Students Out Of Her Class Over MAGA Shirts Resigns

Lyn Orletsky has resigned from her teaching position at River Ridge High School in Woodstock, GA after being criticized for comparing MAGA shirts to swastikas.

Last September a video obtained by Turning Point USA went viral of her kicking two students out of her class for wearing MAGA t-shirts.

“Just like you cannot wear a swastika to school, you cannot wear ‘Make America Great Again’ like that,” –Lyn Orletsky

Life comes at you fast. After the incident Orletsky received harsh criticism on social media and was placed on leave. She has since been allowed to return, but has chosen to resign over the backlash.
“After attacks on my character and threats on my life, I have made the decision to resign from my teaching position at River Ridge High School. While in hindsight I would have handled the situation differently, the outcry over this incident has been disproportionate to the event itself.” –Lyn Orletsky
She has stated several times that her remarks had nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with “neo-nazis” adopting the slogan, which made her minority students feel “uncomfortable.”  While that is true to an extent the issue isn’t the shirts, but perhaps the other kids, themselves. If they are THAT triggered by a slogan then maybe THAT is needs to be addressed. Mainstream media is largely to blame for this. By following antifa’s lead and portraying ALL conservatives as “nazis,” they have instilled fear in the easily persuaded. The media often abuses it’s influence and a majority of people take them at their word. It is irresponsible “journalism” like this that led to several police officers being murdered, when they were driving the BLM narrative. It misleads the public and affirms the misconceptions of those who don’t question what they are being told.
