Combat Vet Lashes Out to Trans Troops: “Serving in the military is a privilege not a right. It sure is not a social experiment.”

Ex Iraq combat veteran and wounded warrior J.R. Salzman is sure “war isn’t a place for folks that are mental, emotional, or physical confused or in chaos.

“Reacting to President Donald Trump’s statement to rescind former President Barack Obama’s last-minute order to take openly transgender troops in the army, Salzman unleashed his own testimony through Twitter. For the first five months I had been on a 12 man firebase out in the middle of nowhere in the desert,” said the veteran, before describing the daily hell of war.

Wake up and do the very same patrols, the very same shifts, each and every day. It was so extremely hot. 150° from the gun trucks,” he wrote. “Tracer fire would go overhead sometimes at night. IED’s on the street was a daily threat. We got resupplied meals every 8 days.”The stress of being out there and doing the exact same job each and every day eats away at you. The younger men had problems with this over time,” continued Salzman.

“Any little personal issue they’d suddenly became a huge problem. And they snapped emotionally. Their own issues came out and they were immediately combat ineffective.”Salzman contended that the reality of these harsh conditions of war makes it no place for those confused about their gender. “Now take someone confused about whether they’re a man/woman. “Take someone who’s right off the bat, not uniform or a part of the exact same team.

Give them special treatment due to their identity.”Take that individual, place them in that stressful warfare surroundings and observe what happens. “You must be incredibly tough in your mind, emotionally and physically. War isn’t a f***ing video game. It checks every ounce of your being,” maintained the veteran.

“You can not teach someone to be a fearless warrior at a f***ing PowerPoint. You either have it or you do not. You can hack it or you can not.”Salzman claimed that those who were shaky on the battle were a “liability.” You’ve got your s*** together, or you do not,” he said.

“And if you don’t, you will only get people needlessly killed. Political correctness has absolutely no place in the army.”As previously reported by The Daily Wire, transgender veterans are found to be especially plagued by mental health problems, together with the “highest rates of mental health issues from the U.S.

A 2016 study found 90 percent of military members who identify as transgender were diagnosed with at least one mental health disorder, and nearly 50 percent were hospitalized after attempting or considering suicide.”

J.R. Salzman ends: “Serving in the military is a privilege, not a right. And it is sure as hell, not a social experiment.”
