Donald Trump: Comey Rigged Clinton Investigation!

The President has directly called out former FBI Director, James Comey, for rigging the investigation into former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. “Wow, looks like James Comey exonerated Hillary Clinton long before the investigation was over…and so much more,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “A rigged system!”

This comes in response to documents that show that Comey had already begun drafting a letter that exonerated Clinton MONTHS BEFORE the FBI had concluded their investigation.

Transcripts of an Office of Special Council interview with Comey’s Chief of Staff and other FBI chiefs show that Comey had made his conclusions and decision to exonerate well before the final investigation had been finished…This was politically driven and corrupt. It disgraces not only Comey, but also the hard working FBI agents who were actually doing their jobs properly.

There needs to be a full and open investigation into Comey’s actions in making this decision, his dealings with AG Loretta Lynch and precisely how it is that he deemed Clinton did not commit a serious crime.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said: “If it is as accurate as they say it is, that would certainly give cause and reason that Jim Comey was not the right person to lead the FBI,”

President Donald Trump reacted to reports that former FBI Director James Comey already started drafting a statement clearing Hillary Clinton two months before she was interviewed by the FBI.

“Wow, looks like James Comey exonerated Hillary Clinton long before the investigation was over…and so much more,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “A rigged system!”

In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Republican senators revealed transcripts of an Office of Special Council interview with Comey’s Chief of Staff and other FBI officials.

“Conclusion first, fact-gathering second — that’s no way to run an investigation,” the letter from Senator Chuck Grassley and Senator Lindsey Graham read. “The FBI should be held to a higher standard than that, especially in a matter of such great public interest and controversy.”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders also commented on the story in Thursday’s press briefing.

“If it is as accurate as they say it is, that would certainly give cause and reason that Jim Comey was not the right person to lead the FBI,” she said.
