Father Arrested After Son Secretly Records him Beating 2-year-old Disabled Toddler

A 48-year-old man is behind bars after he was caught on video beating a 2-year-old disabled toddler. Alejandro Gonzalez was caught by his own son who witnessed him violently shaking the 2-year-old. The child suffers from cerebral palsy which can make chewing and swallowing difficult. Apparently Gonzalez violently shook the child after he became frustrated because the child would not eat his food.

The older child took the video to school with him the next day and alerted his teachers. School officials immediately contacted police. After watching the video, police arrested Gonzalez. The older child told police he recorded the video secretly and then sent it to his older sister so his father would not find it.

A WilCo deputy viewed the video and said it confirmed what the old child said. The deputy also saw pictures of bruises and red marks on the lower back and buttocks of the toddler. The injuries were caused by Gonzalez using a belt and fly swatter to discipline the child.

Gonzalez has been charged with injury to a child. His bond is currently set at $100,000.
